EFAN Renews Its Commitment to the Military Covenant

The Ex-Forces Action Network (E-FAN), delivered by Cheshire & Greater Manchester Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC), has re-affirmed its commitment to the military covenant at a Chester University workshop.

The project is funded by the MoD’s Covenant Grant Fund, which itself forms part of the government’s long-term commitment to supporting projects designed to help veterans under the Armed Forces Covenant – the promise from the nation that those who serve or have served are treated fairly.

The event (see photo) was an opportunity to network with partner organisations including the Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS), Chester, Cheshire West and Warrington Councils, the Job Centre, Cheshire Fire and Rescue and the British Legion.

“It was a really nice day. We met lots of partner organisations, made new contacts and shared best practice.  It was great to see how far and wide the E-FAN name and purpose has spread,” said E-FAN Key Worker Sarah O’Connell.

And the icing on the cake was that as a result of the meeting, a new referral was generated.  If you wish to refer a former veteran living in Greater Manchester or Cheshire contact Rhiannon@ExForceActionNetwork.onmicrosoft.com

CGM CRC is responsible for delivering E-FAN in partnership with the DMWS.
